Meet Our Ministers
Unity of Richmond‘s ministers provide spiritual leadership for Unity of the Rappahannock.
Rev. Richard Bunch, Co-Minister
The first Sunday I attended a Unity center and heard the words “God is unconditional love and accepts you as you are,” I felt at home. I had been looking for a church home for ten years with my wife, Vicki. Since that first Sunday at Unity of El Paso in 1997 until the present, I have been committed to my inner spiritual journey.
I have found that my past career as president and founder of a multi-corporate financial company, my experience as an active member of other Christian denominations and life experiences have prepared me as a Unity minister.
In my undergraduate work, I focused on Bible and history. In my graduate work, I focused on finances. My post-graduate work was completed at Unity Institute and Seminary.
I served at Unity of El Paso as Spiritual Leader for five years and currently serve as Co-Minister at Unity of Richmond since 2006. My life continues to be transformed as I “Grow in Spirit” and experience “Transformed Lives… Transforming the World.”
Rev. Victoria Bunch, Minister Emeritus
I searched for many years to find an understanding of God beyond the embedded theology I learned as a child. On my quest, I participated in women’s spirituality groups, Buddhist meditation groups, worked with a shaman to bring up repressed feelings/thoughts, studied Jungian psychology and visited numerous spiritual denominations. In 1999, I was introduced to the Unity movement, was called into the ministry five years later and ordained by Unity Institute and Seminary in 2006.
As a mother and grandmother with a Masters of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and experience in many healing modalities through the years, I served as co-minister with my husband at Unity of Richmond from 2006 to 2017 to empower healing, prosperity and spiritual growth through creative worship services, meditations, music, spiritual counseling and interfaith opportunities.
As a Minister Emeritus, Unity continues to bring unity into my life. I continue to be involved in the life of the church, offering various opportunities to be a soul companion and look within, reflect, heal deep wounds, connect with the Divine and be the Expression of Spirit that one is meant to be.
Rev. Peggy White, Minister Emeritus
In 2004 I visited Unity of Richmond for the first time. Rarely have I missed a Sunday since. After years of searching, I had found a spiritual path that opened my heart to Spirit. I immediately began taking courses to become a Licensed Unity Teacher. Upon completion of that program, I applied to the Unity Field Ministry Program and I was licensed as a minister in March 2011.
I bring to the ministry skills from my previous experience as a career teacher and school administrator. My undergraduate and graduate degrees are in teaching and educational supervision and administration. I did additional work through the doctoral program at the University of Virginia, which prepared me for part-time work as an educational consultant with the Virginia Department of Education after retirement. Bringing these experiences and the wisdom gained in my roles as mother and grandmother, I joyfully serve as Associate Minister of Unity of Richmond. I continue on my spiritual path and share the journey with the beloved congregants at Unity of Richmond.
